The Woodcarver DVD Review and Giveaway!

Photobucket

MOVIE DESCRIPTION ~ Matthew Stevenson is a troubled kid from a broken home. When he vandalizes the local church to get back at his parents, Matthew has to repair the damage to the church to avoid criminal charges. While working at the church, he meets Ernest (John Ratzenberger), an accomplished wood carver who created the intricate woodwork decoration that Matthew destroyed. Ernest has become something of a hermit, but reluctantly comes out of reclusion to help repair the church. Now Ernest and Matthew must work together to preserve the church's beautiful antiquity, and along the way, they also manage to restore their faith in God and in life.

Have you ever had a relationship with someone that you thought was impossible to restore? This movie will inspire you to trust in God's power to heal broken hearts and restore families. God uses people all the time to do His work, this movie is a perfect example of allowing God to use us to further His kingdom.

Watching this movie really touched my heart. If only there were more "Ernests" in this world!

If you enjoy quality family friendly movies in your home I highly recommend The Woodcarver  . My whole family enjoyed watching it together.  My 17 year old son was especially into this movie. Some guests arrived while we were watching and we had to pause it for a bit. He was just itching to get back and see the ending. So was I! Quite a few conversations with my 8 year old son have been started since we watched it together, including him asking if he could learn to carve wood too.
