The purpose of Pyramath is to strengthen math skills in a fun way, using a card game format. They have fun and learn at the same time. Its easy to set up, easy to learn to play, and hard to stop playing once you get started!

My kids and I LOVE Pyramath! Its a fun and enjoyable card game, just challenging enough to be competitive and such great practice at math skills! Even my 4 year old will sit on the sideline and sometimes call out answers, to our surprise. (Just watch out for 1 year olds who love to come running by and sweep all of your cards onto the floor!)

The game is played by using addition, subtraction, multiplication or division to add a card to the pyramid. You lay out 5 or 7 cards side by side and then for instance, if there is a 5 and a 1 card beside each other, you can build onto your pyramid by adding those 2 numbers to be able to lay down a 6, or subtract to lay down a 4. My little ones do not multiply or divide yet so our game is limited, but for older kids or playing with your spouse it gets much more interesting! When one player has a full pyramid on their side, they win the game.  I use the 5 card layout with my 4 and 6 year old so the game doesn't take as long. My 7 year old will stick around long enough to play the 7 card version. We sometimes run out of cards with the 7 card version and have to declare the game winner by who has the most cards on their side of the pyramid. (This probably wouldn't happen if we used multiplication and division also.) AND there are more versions to play once the basic version has been mastered. You can even play games on the website, and you may even win a free deck for playing!  CLICK HERE!

The kids don't think of playing Pyramath as just a schooltime activity, they see it as fun time, and time spent with Mom and Dad or other kids. Its easy to take along if we go somewhere, like the boring doctor's office.

My 7 year old noticed that the names of the letters are written in Spanish on the cards. (Also in Chinese, Roman, and Arabic translation and symbols) Ive started saying those words in English and Spanish as we play and he is remembering most of them already. He loves to impress people by showing off his newly learned skills.

Yes we love Pyramath here, its a keeper! I would recommend it to any family who wants to improve their math skills.
